The upcoming Mahindra MPV, code named as the U321 has been sighted, yet again, in a town in Leh, Jammu and Kashmir. The car was spotted by CarWale reader Dr KS Anand.
The spotted car wears a camouflage but the front profile displays a few styling bits. The grille has been styled to get along with Mahindra’s family design. The headlamp assembly displays a projector unit, however, some camouflage on the headlamp unit could be hiding the DRL (Daytime running lights) inserts. The air dam has been designed to be minimal and the fog lamps are placed at the extreme ends of the bumper. As seen in the spy images clicked earlier, the side profile displays van-like proportions, indicating that this might be a people’s mover.
We expect the new MPV to be powered by the 1.5-litre m-HAWK engine offered with a choice of five speed manual gearbox or an AMT (Auto Mated Transmission).
The MPV is likely to make a debut at the Delhi Auto Expo which will be held early next year. Post its debut, the upcoming MPV will rival against the Toyota Innova Crysta and the Renault Lodgy.
