Electric car maker Tesla has recalled 11,000 Model X SUVs over issue with the seat.
As per the company, the passenger seat might not lock into place due to a faulty locking mechanism. In the event of a crash, the seat could fall forward which could prove to be dangerous for the occupants. The affected cars have been manufactured between 28th October 2016 and 16th August 2017.
Tesla found this issue during internal testing. It claims that only 3 per cent of the vehicles sold have experienced this issue. The company is in process of contacting the affected customers. It is asking customers to get their Model X to service center. The technicians will adjust the cables correctly and that will take only 10 minutes. Till then Tesla has asked the customers not to stack two adults in the center and behind-driver seats in the second row.
