Ahead of commencement of deliveries internationally from 28 July, Tesla chief Elon Musk has released images of the upcoming Model 3. Reports indicate that by the end of this month, 30 units of the vehicle will be delivered and by December, the company is expected to increase its production to 20,000 units. The company has reportedly received over four lakh orders and the waiting period might stretch to a couple of years.
The upcoming Tesla Model 3 will be available with a rear-wheel drive configuration and is capable of covering a distance of about 215kms on a single charge. Reports indicate that the vehicle is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just about 5.4-seconds. Interestingly, the car also gets AutoPilot technology. Inside, along with premium upholstery the vehicle also gets horizontal central display.
The upcoming Tesla Model 3 will be priced somewhere around $35,000 (Rs 22.55 lakhs). As for its debut in India, it might take a few years before it is finally launched. Currently, the company is working on eliminating hurdles in terms of bringing-in investors and well as government policies. More details about the vehicle will be known in the days to come.
