Tata Motors has recently launched a special edition of the Zest to celebrate the success of selling 85,000 units of the sedan. Tata Zest Premio is available in the diesel trim starting at Rs 7.53 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The Tata Zest Premio edition gets some cosmetic changes and tweaked interior to differentiate it from the regular compact sedan. Instead of the standard body colour for the roof, the carmaker has given it a glossy black colour. There are piano black ORVMs and dark grey coloured wheel covers. The tail gate sports a 'Premio' badge, while potential buyers can also opt for a black spoiler as an accessory. Inside, the seat fabric comes with contrast stitching and Premio branding. It is colour co-ordinated with a new chic tan finished mid pad on the dashboard.
Only available in the diesel engine option, the Tata Zest Premio will come powered by the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre four-cylinder diesel motor. It produces 74bhp of power and 190Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The AMT transmission is not available for this special edition.Â
Tata Motors hasn't mentioned the exact variant this special edition is based on. We can expect it to get features equivalent to the XM and XMS trim. Prospective buyers can get more details from authorised Tata dealerships and Tata's official website once it’s updated. The special edition should attract buyers looking for a compact diesel sedan with good interior space and distinctive looks.
