Tata Motors has commenced the booking of its upcoming sub-4 metre sedan, the Zest, by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. These bookings are however, limited to online only. The payment can be done either through credit card or debit card.
Currently, the buyers will have the option to select only petrol and diesel variant. The detailed variants will be made available through dealerships after the Zest is launched officially. The buyer needs to fill a form where he/she needs to enter the city and the state they live in. Once entered, the website will show a list of dealerships available in the vicinity. After selecting the dealership, the buyer will need to pay the amount, which will be transferred to the dealership. Once the Zest is launched, the buyer will need to go to the selected dealership, select the variant, colour and pay the remaining amount. The booking formalities will then proceed and the car will be made available as soon as the dealer gets the stock. Just like Audi and Skoda, Tata Motors wants to take advantage of the online booking system. It is not only easy but covers a wide range of buyers.
The Tata Zest compact sedan will be sold with two engine options - 1.3-litre diesel and an all-new Revortron 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. While both the petrol and diesel variants get a 5-speed manual gearbox, the diesel engine also gets the segment-first AMT gearbox.
