Tata Motors has added the top-end AMT variant to the Zest line up. The new Zest XTA is priced at Rs 8.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is basically the fully loaded version of the compact sedan with the AMT transmission.
The XTA gets additional features over the XMA variant including front airbags, rear parking sensors, LED daytime running lamps, automatic climate control and Harman touch-screen music system with six speakers. Although there is no official press release from Tata on this regard, the website has been updated with the prices of the new version.
The XTA variant has been priced at a premium of Rs 69,000 over the XT manual, which is basically the cost of the AMT transmission. The Zest is still the only car in the segment to offer comforts of an automatic with diesel power. The Zest XTA is also about Rs 20,000 cheaper than the recently introduced top-end Honda Amaze manual with AVN pack.
