The 90bhp Indica Vista will make its way soon to a Tata showroom near you. The 90bhp engine which does duty on the Indigo Manza will now find itself under the hood of the Indica Vista. Although the world has been claiming that the 90bhp is a diesel, we have reason to believe that the 90bhp engine that will be doing duty on the car is in fact a petrol!
The 90 hp Indica Vista is likely to be launched a few days after the Tata Aria launch and we will get you a more in-depth look of the car as soon as possible. The powerful and refined engine will sport a higher price band than the current 1.2L Safire (64bhp) variant. The launch of the 90bhp Indica Vista will make it the most powerful production hatchback to roll out of the Tata stable and will bring an entirely new dimension to driveability for the petrol engined Vista range.
It makes a lot of sense for Tata Motors to launch the Vista with a more powerful petrol engine since the current 1.2 petrol until, though economical, is a little sluggish and this is one reason why prospective customers haven't bought the VFM Vista. The 1.4L engine should give it the zest the petrol Vista currently lacks and along with slightly tweaked interiors, the new 90bhp should be quite nice to drive. We will get you the performance figures as soon as we lay our hands on this powerful 1.4L hatch. Watch this space for more.
