Tata Motors recently updated the performance-oriented Tiago and Tigor JTP twins with a few features. This JTP duo now matches the top-of-the-line trims of the standard Tiago and Tigor models in terms of equipment levels. Let's take a look at the top four new interior features.
1. New infotainment system
The biggest change inside the cabin comes in the form of a new ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system. This is a bigger 7.0-inch touchscreen unit that replaces the previous 5.0-inch display and now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto too.Â
2. Automatic climate control
Well, the Tigor JTP was equipped with automatic climate control, however, the Tiago missed this feature. Now, prospective buyers of the hatchback too can have this feature as standard.
3. Safety features
Both the JTP models, were previously equipped with only a driver seat-belt reminder. This time, these cars also benefit from a co-driver seat-belt warning and a high-speed alert system.Â
4. Foldable mirrors
Both the cars get electrically adjustable mirrors. However, this time, the carmaker has also added a convenient power folding function to these wing mirrors.
It should be noted that no mechanical changes have been made. The JTP trims continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol mill producing 114bhp of power and 150Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Available at an ex-showroom price (Delhi) of Rs 6.69 lakhs for the Tiago JTP and Rs 7.59 lakhs for the Tigor JTP, both these cars will be sold through select Tata Motors dealerships across India.
