-Showcased at 2018 Auto Expo
-Currently only available for the government
-To be offered in a lower spec XT variant also
A mid-level XM variant of the Tata Tigor EV was spotted for the first time. The production spec Tigor EV was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo followed by deliveries to the Maharashtra and MP Govt subsequently.
This XM spec Tigor EV mimics its ICE sibling and in that respect, it gets dual front airbags, AC and front and rear power windows as standard. Unlike the higher XZ variant, there are no projector headlamps or alloy wheels as a part of the package. While the fully loaded Tigor EV gets a host of blue accents all round on the exterior, this car is a bit plain with only the word EV at rear sporting a blue tinge. The Tigor EV is powered 30kW electric motor and a 216Ah battery pack. The set up gets fast charging, a 130km range and top speed of 100kmph.
The Tigor EV is currently only being offered to the EESL (Energy efficiency Services Limited) of the Central Government with no word yet from Tata as to when it will be offered on sale to the general public.Â
