Tata Motors has launched the AMT gearbox in two more trims of the Tigor – XMA and the XZA+. Earlier, the AMT was only available in the XZA variant. The XMA is priced at Rs 6.39 lakhs while the top-spec XZA+ retails at Rs 7.24 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The AMT is mated to the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine which puts out 84bhp and 114Nm. Diesel-AMT isn’t on the cards yet for the Tigor. Meanwhile, the two new AMT variants also get additional exterior paint options – Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey. In terms of features, the XZA+ comes loaded with features like seven-inch infotainment system equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and an eight-speaker sound system by Harman. On the outside, there’s 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and auto-fold ORVMs with integrated LEDs and chamber projector headlamps with sparkling chrome finish.
Both variants offer driving modes, a Harman tuned music system with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking sensors, foldable rear armrest with cupholders as well. In terms of safety, both trims come loaded with dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, corner stability control, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing door locks and engine immobilizer.
