When Tata had invited us to visit their design studio in 2016, they had on display a pseudo SUV accessorised version of the Tiago on display for the journalists. At that time, no name had been given to the vehicle but with the rumour mills working overtime, word spread that this car would be called the Tiago Activ. The same is now available as an accessory body kit and is even listed on Tata’s official website.
From the pictures we can see that the Activ kit comprises body skirts, faux silver coloured bash plate elements, black rub rails as well as a black covering for the section right above the grille. The concept car that we saw at the studio sported diamond cut wheels but the car at the dealership sports the standard alloy wheel design. There are no photos of the interiors but with the vast numbers of accessories available, the customisation options for the Tiago Activ are quite vast.
The Activ is Tata’s answer to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X and with the cost of the accessories factored in, they are expected to cost roughly the same.
