The Tata Tiago NRG has been launched in India at Rs 5.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Tiago NRG is available in petrol and diesel variant with three colour options.
The Tiago NRG gets a higher ground clearance over the stock car and black plastic cladding around the lower sections. All the chrome elements of the standard car have been replaced by black inserts. There’s also faux bash plate elements and black insert on the hatch door similar to what is there on the Nexon. Adding in to the appearance are four-spoke alloy wheels.
The interiors get a heavy boost of orange. It’s present on the AC vents, centre console, gearbox housing and on seats via patterned stitching. This Tiago NRG also debuts a touchscreen music system for this hatchback range. This is the same system found in the Tigor and it is expected to offer the same levels of connectivity. Both the petrol and diesel models get dual front airbags along with ABS and EBD. This car also sees the Tiago range get rear parking sensors with ultrasonic display, follow me home headlamps, driver seat belt reminder as well as corner stability control.
There are no mechanical changes to the car and you can have it with a 1.2-litre petrol or 1.05-litre diesel. The former is good for 84bhp/114Nm while the latter produces 69bhp/140Nm. A five-speed manual is standard on both the variants.
