The Tata JTPs, namely the Tigor JTP and the Tiago JTP will soon get an updated infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This infotainment system is expected to arrive with the new batch of JTP cars. Earlier this week, Tata Motors introduced an updated seven-inch infotainment system in the top spec XZ+ variant of the Tiago and the Tigor, and a similar update will soon be offered in the JTP versions of the Tiago and the Tigor.Â
It is believed that the updated seven-inch touchscreen will replace the existing five-inch unit in the current Tata JTPs. Under the hood, the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP, both are powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 112bhp at 5,000rpm and 150Nm of torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
In terms of pricing, the JTPs are unlikely to cost more and the changes will be limited to the updated infotainment system.
