- A fully-digital instrument cluster is available in top-spec manual and AMT variants.
- Both these cars become the first in segment to get this feature.
Tata has discreetly updated the Tiago hatchback and the Tigor sedan with an all-digital instrument cluster. This new feature is only available in the top-spec manual and AMT variants of both the cars – which is the XZ+ and XZA+ trims.
The digital screen replaces the twin-pod analogue system and gets a digital speedometer placed in the centre. There’s a tachometer along with fuel indicator and various other functions including digital clock, door ajar warning, key reminder, DTE and headlamp indicator. The top-spec variants of both the cars come loaded with features like projector headlamps, seven-inch touchscreen, climate control, power mirrors, and 15-inch wheels.
Both the Tiago and Tigor are the first in the segment to get a digital instrument cluster. At the moment, the newly-launched Renault Triber and the Kwid are the only other cars under the Rs 10 lakh price bracket to come with a digital instrument cluster.
Apart from that, Tata Motors will be launching a special edition of the Tiago, called the Wizz. This special edition is expected to come during the upcoming festive season. Moreover, a mid-life update for both the cars are already being tested. This update is likely to come with a BS-VI compliant engine but there are reports of shelving diesel engines for both these models.
