Tata Motors garnered a lot of attention at the 2018 Auto Expo with the two futuristic concepts – the H5X and 45X. Now, the Indian carmaker has teased another concept for the upcoming 2018 Geneva Motor Show which will open its gates on 8 March.
The Geneva stage has always been Tata’s favourite as the Mumbai-based carmaker has been a part of it for 20 years now. The carmaker has also showcased many ambitious projects at the Geneva, most of which culminated into actual production models. This new concept, slated to be revealed on 6 March, is speculated to be the third product of Tata’s new IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy. There is a lot of resemblance to the H5X SUV concept with the sleek LED headlights and the Tri-Arrow motif beneath it on the bumpers. However, the teaser has the car finished in a blue hue compared to the orange shade of the H5X.
This concept could be a slightly improved iteration of the H5X which can give us a clearer view of the production-ready model. Tata hasn’t divulged any further details of the new model or its showcar for the Geneva stage. Tata Motors was rumoured to have withdrawn its participation at the Geneva in August last year as a part of the cost-cutting initiative. The ambitious Racemo was also shelved at the same time. However, with the new teaser, the carmaker has confirmed that the Swiss platform is too dear to renounce from. More details will be revealed in the days to come. So stay tuned for an in-depth coverage of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
