BNCAP has released another set of crash test results that includes the Punch EV and the Nexon EV. The former has managed to score a five-star rating in the latest round of tests. We have detailed the results of the Nexon, and the same is available on our website.
Coming to the Punch EV, the model scored 31.46 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points in child occupant protection. Although the variant tested was the Empowered+ S Long Range, the rating is applicable to the entire lineup across medium range and long range trims.
Additionally, the Punch EV scored 15.71 out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.74 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test. In terms of safety features, the car comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, seatbelt reminder system, and iTPMS as standard.
