- Apple CarPlay update for XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ variants
- No mechanical or design upgrades
- Second bestselling vehicle after the Tiago hatchback
In an effort to further strengthen its foothold in the compact SUV space, the Nexon is now available with Apple CarPlay. This update will be available as standard on the XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ variants from mid-August. Interested customers can, however, reach out to the dealership for a software update. Apart from this, the vehicle does not get any other update and continues to be offered with a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen.
Under the hood, the Nexon is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 108bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 108bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. The engines come mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed Hyperdrive AMT system.
The Nexon compact SUV has been the second bestselling vehicle for the company after the Tiago hatchback. The vehicle has recently earned a four-star crash test rating at the Euro NCAP and three stars for child occupant protection. The safety feature list includes dual front airbags, ABS brakes and ISOFIX anchorages as standard.
