- Gets black and red accents
- Available in the new 45 variant
Tata Motors has launched a special edition of the Nexon EV ahead of this festive season. The carmaker had showcased the Nexon.ev Dark edition along with the Safari Dark edition at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show earlier this year. However, the one launched now is available with the new Nexon EV 45 variant with a bigger battery pack. Here are the top highlights of the compact SUV.
All-black exterior
The Nexon.ev Dark features an all-black exterior with a carbon black paint scheme, piano black lower grille, and charcoal grey roof rails. Even the 2D logo is in piano black and the SUV rides on 16-inch blacked-out alloy wheels.
Red interior accents
Though the Nexon.ev Dark has an all-black treatment inside, the interior gets contrasting red elements like red UI and UX screens. It even boasts a Red Dark Double Deco stitch on the dashboard.
Red seats
Moreover, the SUV's cabin adorns red upholstery for the seats adding to the spunk inside the dark cabin.
Special 'Dark' badges
Like the black finish all around, there are '#Dark' badges on the fender and the seats.
Voice-assisted panoramic sunroof
Another USP is a wider voice-assisted panoramic sunroof apart from the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and a new two-spoke steering wheel. This is exclusive to the Nexon EV Red Dark Edition which is priced Rs. 20,000 more than the top-spec Empowered+ 45 variant that it is based on.
Powertrain
Unlike the one displayed at the Bharat Mobility Show, which used a 40.5kWh battery and a 143bhp electric motor, the new Nexon.ev Red Dark gets a 45kWh battery pack and a range of 489km up from the 465km on the standard one.
