- Nexon EV borrows instrument cluster from Altroz
- To be launched early next year
Tata Motors has begun promoting the Nexon EV on their social media channels. A new promotional video shared on the web reveals the interiors of the Nexon EV test-mule. As seen in the images, the Nexon EV features the same exterior and interior as the current generation model excluding the instrument cluster.
The new instrument panel seen on the upcoming Tata Nexon EV is similar to the unit seen on the upcoming Altroz premium hatchback. The digital MID is positioned in the middle of the instrument console, while the digital tachometer and analogue speedometer are positioned on its left and right side respectively.
Although the exterior of the Nexon EV is no different than the current generation model, we expect the EV variant of compact SUV to come in the facelifted form, test-mules of which have been spotted testing on Indian roads.
Scheduled to debut in Q4 FY19-20, the Tata Nexon EV will target a range of 300 kms. Expected to be priced between Rs 15-17 lakhs, the Nexon EV will feature IP67 compatibility for the battery, fast charging capability and a battery and motor warranty of eight years. Â
