The Tata Nexon has achieved a production milestone of 25,000 units recently. The compact SUV is being manufactured at the carmaker's Ranjangaon facility near Pune.
Tata Motors had launched the Nexon in India in September 2017. Initially, the carmaker rolled out 10,000 units in a little over two months and the new landmark has been achieved in just over five months. The carmaker had ramped up the production of the SUV as the orders started pouring in and the waiting periods hit the roof. The demand is good and the carmaker wants to cater to it as fast as it can.
The Nexon is the newest car in the sub-four metre SUV segment. It is also the most affordable amongst competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Honda WR-V and the Ford EcoSport. The ex-showroom price of the Nexon's petrol models is between Rs 5.68-8.59 lakhs, while the diesel versions are priced between Rs 5.85-9.44 lakhs.
