- Only available with a manual transmission
- Can be had across eight variants
The much-anticipated Tata Nexon CNG was launched last month. It was first showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo and now makes the Nexon the car with the widest range of powertrains. Post the launch, the car has started arriving in showrooms. Bookings had opened at the time of the launch itself.
It can be had in the Smart (O), Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, and Fearless+ S variants. The top-of-the-line variant gets features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 360-degree surround camera, eight speakers, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
The only engine on offer is Tata’s 1.2-litre turbo petrol that in CNG guise produces 99bhp and 170Nm and mated to a six-speed manual transmission. One of the major highlights is that Tata has implemented its twin-cylinder technology allowing them to offer 321-litre boot space a significant amount when you consider that the standard car has a boot space of 392 litres. Rivals to the Nexon CNG include the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG, Toyota Taisor CNG and the Maruti Fronx CNG.
