- Vehicle was spotted in Hyderabad
- It will make its debut as an EV in Ola’s fleet
- Vehicle is expected to be called the Neo
- No word yet on powertrain
An EV based on the Tata Nano is being developed by Jayem Aautomotive and was spotted in Hyderabad. The vehicle was painted in the OLA colour scheme indicating that it is being developed for the taxi aggregator and will be inducted into their fleet once it is launched.
These are the first comprehensive images of the car, but it has been spotted doing the rounds around various place in India regularly. There’s no word on the powertrain system but in keeping with the image of the Nano, it’s expected to be a small city runabout with not a very large range.
Jayem is already developing the Tigor and Tiago JTP for the Indian automaker and this appears to be a quid-pro-quo deal between the automaker and the vehicle builder.
