Tata Motors will officially launch the more power Indica Vista D90 on January 28 in New Delhi. The D90 version of the hatchback is powered by the 1.3-litre mulitjet diesel engine producing 90bhp and 200Nm of torque.
The Indian Vista D90 has been caught testing several times. In fact many Tata dealers have also publicized prices of the performance hatch. The D90 is basically powered by the higher spec engine from Fiat that has a Variable Geometry Turbo – same unit that powers the Indigo Manza, Maruti SX4 and Ertiga.
The Indica Vista D90 also has few cosmetic changes. The instrument cluster is no longer in the centre, but in the conventional position behind the steering wheel. The suspension have also been retuned for better handling and to manage higher speeds. There are also a few changes to the exteriors; all the variants of the D90 will get black roof and 90 badge on the rear to distinguish it from the normal Vista.
Reports suggest the VX variant will be priced at Rs 6.03 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) while the ZX will cost Rs 6.63 lakh. Stay tuned to CarWale for official details from the launch function in Delhi.
