Tata Motors has announced that it will hike the prices of all cars in their portfolio in the coming month. Depending on the model and the city, the cost of all Tata cars and SUVs will get dearer by up to Rs 25,000.
The carmaker attributes the increase in car prices to the rising input costs and external economic conditions. Changing market conditions have also compelled the automaker to consider the price revision. The entire model range is said to be affected by this hike and the price difference will be passed on to the prospective customers.Â
And it's not just Tata; many more manufacturers have announced price hikes that will be implemented in April. These are to partially offset the impact of frequent variations in the input costs including commodity prices and even freight charges. Tata Motors has still tried to minimise the impact on its customers by absorbing a huge part of these incremental costs and capping the increment in prices to up to Rs 25,000. Updated variant-wise prices of all Tata vehicles will be available at all authorised dealerships in the coming month.
