Tata Motors had a decent outing in February, 2014, with their overall sales figures just shy of the 40k mark. They collectively sold 38,951 vehicles which includes sales of commercial vehicles and exports. The local sales in February 2014 are to the tune of 35,315 units.
The sales of passenger vehicles for February stood at 11,325 units. Tata Nano, Indica, and the Indigo range collectively sold 9025 units, whereas the Sumo, Safari, Aria and the Venture put together sold 2,299 units.
The Indian car major’s overall sales figure including exports this fiscal was reported as 515,511 units. Of which, the cumulative sales of passenger vehicles stood at 1,25,815 units. The Nano, Indica and the Indigo range collectively sold 97,426 units and the Sumo, Safari, Aria and the Venture range did 28,389 units.
Tata marginally benefitted from exports, their cumulative sales from exports this fiscal showed 44,704 units respectively.
Tata Motors having lined up their two eagerly awaited products, the Bolt hatchback and the Zest sedan, and are bound to benefit from their launch. The cars have managed to create quite a buzz and we believe next fiscal Tata’s figures will improve.
