April 2015 has been good for Tata Motors which recorded strong growth in certain segments including passenger cars and exports. In fact, the company sold 36,205 vehicles in April 2015, registering a 7 per cent growth over 33,962 vehicles sold in April 2014.
The passenger cars division, in particular, recorded strong sales thanks to the new line up cars such as the Zest and the Bolt. Tata sold 10,230 cars in April 2015, marking a growth of 37 per cent compared to 7,444 units sold in April 2014. However, sales of the utility vehicle division declined by 27 per cent with just 1,305 units sold within the same period.
While there has been a drop in utility vehicle segment, Tata Motors is expected to perform a lot better thanks to the advent of the GenX Nano which is scheduled to launch sometime this month. Read our first drive review of the GenX Nano here.
