Tata Motors Global Group, which includes Jaguar Land Rover, sold 76,602 vehicles in June this year. This shows a 1.29 per cent hike in sales in comparison to the 75,623 cars sold in the same period in 2014.
The group sold 45,519 units of all kinds of passenger vehicles last month, showing a three per cent hike in sales as against the 44,239 units in June 2014. However, the numbers for Jaguar Land Rover's sales for the last month declined by 3.08 per cent with 34,908 units sold in comparison to 36,021 units in the same month last year.
Tata Motors has its business in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia, which includes the sale of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles as well. The vehicles are marketed in various countries including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, South America, CIS and Russia. With an aim to enhance their brand overseas, the company is setting up new subsidiaries globally and plans to expand its bandwidth in these markets.
