Tata Motors Global Group which includes Jaguar Land Rover sold 73,535 vehicles in July 2015. This shows an eight per cent decline in sales in comparison to the cars sold in the same month in 2014. However, the cumulative wholesales for the fiscal remained flat over the last fiscal at 3,07,017 units last month.
The company sold 43,257 units of passenger vehicles in July 2015, lesser by 12 per cent in sales as against the figures of 2014. For the fiscal the numbers stood at 1,89,977 units.
Jaguar Land Rover's cumulative sales for the last month stood at 32,568 units. While Jaguar sold 6,882 vehicles in July 2015, Land Rover captured a major chunk of sales with 25,686 units sold in the same month.
Tata Motors has its business in UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia; and vehicles are marketed in various countries including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, South America, CIS and Russia.
Over the years, Tata Motors has globally come up with new ventures with not only the passenger car segment but commercial vehicles as well. The auto maker has been striving to boost its overseas revenue and lower its dependence on the domestic economy. With many new subsidiaries overseas and new products to be offered in key markets, the company has built a stronger brand image and plans to expand its bandwidth in current and potential markets.
