The much awaited Tata Hexa has been launched in India and is priced at introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The bold and muscular SUV from Tata Motors is available in six and seven seat configuration. On the design aspect, the front of the newly launched Hexa SUV gets a new age grille, new headlamps and a bold bumper. Speaking about interior, it comes loaded with touchscreen infotainment system, soft touch plastics, leather upholstery and climate control. For customers who are keen on having a personalised touch, they can opt for any one from three customisation kits – Tuff, Expedition and Luxe.
The Tata Hexa is powered by a 2.2-litre engine that is available in two states of tune. The Varicor 320 engine generates 148bhp of power and 320Nm of torque, however this is offered only in the base XE variant. As for the rest of the variants, they come powered by a larger Varicor 400 engine that generates 153bhp of power and 400Nm of torque.
The lower spec Varicor320 variant is offered with a five-speed manual transmission and gets two-wheel drive setup. As for the powerful variant, it is available in six-speed manual and six-speed automatic configuration options. There is also an all-wheel drive system that offers four driving modes - Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road.
The Tata Hexa takes on the likes of the Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova, Hyundai Creta as well as the D-segment sedans like the Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis.
