Tata had revealed a few days ago that both its ‘Project Falcon’ cars would be unveiled in Delhi on February 3, ahead of the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Tata Motors seems to want to keep the buzz going as it recently launched two Facebook pages for the upcoming cars. Rumoured to be called ‘Falcon-4’ and ‘Falcon-5’, Tata has named the pages for its hatchback and sedan as ‘Tata Motors F4’ and ‘Tata Motors F5’ respectively.
The About section of the Tata F5 describes it as a community which ‘celebrates epic achievements in design, connectivity and drive that truly raise the bar’, while the Tata F5 page is described as a community for ‘those who love life, live for the moment and yearn for exciting new experiences.’
Both the Falcon-4 and Falcon-5 have been spotted testing around and seem to share many of its components with the existing Vista and Manza, including underpinnings and platform. The changes come in the form new design and engine options, including the recently unveiled Revotron 1.2-litre turbo petrol. After an disappointing 2013, in terms of sales, Tata has been trying hard to change its perception in the minds of people. These cars are an important part of the company’s strategy for 2014 and might as well be the game-changers Tata has been looking for.
