Tata has facelifted the Indica eV2 range and slashed the price by Rs 23,000. The base model of the Indica eV2 will now retail for Rs 4.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the top-end model is priced at Rs 4.87 lakh. There are quite a few changes to the hatchback that make it more appealing and even more value-for-money.
The Indica eV2 facelift gets double headlights, a re-styled front grille and bumpers, rear spoiler with integrated stop lamp, re-designed alloy wheels and new body decal and rear fog lamps. Inside, Tata used the tried-and- tested formula of beige interiors across the range. The top-end variant (LX) has been fitted with a faux wood finish for the central console, along with features like keyless entry; Bluetooth enabled music system and a four-spoke steering wheel.
Power will continue to come from the 1.4-litre engine that produces 69bhp and 140Nm of torque. The Indica eV2 will now be available in two new colour options – Sea Blue and Spicy Red in addition to the existing Neo Orange, Jet Silver and Mint White. The step to slash prices comes in contrast to the move by major players in the Indian car market; GM, Maruti Suzuki and Honda to hike the prices of all their models.
