Tata Hexa, the current flagship and premium crossover of Tata Motors, has managed to strike the right chords with Indian buyers. It has a fair demand in its segment and an upcoming Downtown Urban edition is expected to create some more buzz. Prices are yet to be announced officially. So, in the meanwhile, take a look at these pictures, which give out the exact details of the upcoming variant.
The SUV sports a new Urban bronze paint job, which is specific to this special edition. It will get a downtown badging, tan coloured seats and there will be two packages on offer - Absolute and Indulge.
Both the packages cater to buyers who love that extra bling. So there are chrome surrounds on the Hexa’s headlamps, tail lights, ORVMs and sides making it shinier.
Current Hexa owners can buy side steps for their SUV as an accessory. However, the upcoming edition will get this as a standard fitment and lower grades will ride on 16-inch alloys too.
On higher trims, the Indulge package offers two Blaupunkt infotainment screens behind the front seats for the rear passengers. This is a good feature for those chauffeur-driven Hexa buyers.
Then, there's a head-up display (HUD) for the dashboard too. This reads out the speed limit alerts, battery voltage and even the tyre pressure information of the car.
Apart from the standard features in the current trims, the Hexa Downtown Urban edition offers some more tech in the form of a wireless smartphone charging.
The buyers of the Hexa Downtown Urban edition will also be offered a carpet set and a car care kit. The existing powertrain options will continue to be offered with this trim.
