Tata Motors have just made it official that they will introduce an entirely new diesel engine with the much-awaited Harrier compact SUV. The upcoming model, in fact, will be powered a 2-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine.
According to the brand, the engine has been heavily worked on to deliver strong real world performance. We have seen multiple drive modes in Tata vehicles and this new engine will take it to the next level by blending the brand’s Multi Drive Modes with the Terrain Response Modes of the ESP. The engine comes with comes with low friction valve train and an advanced EGR for better fuel efficiency and to meet future emission norms.Â
First showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as the H5X Concept, the Harrier has been spotted in the production-ready body shell on multiple occasions lately. It will be officially launched in India in early 2019, with prices ranging between Rs 12 lakhs and Rs 18 lakhs. More details will be revealed in the months to come, so stay tuned.Â
