Images of Tata Harrier in production-ready form has been leaked within a day from the commencement of bookings for the SUV. The spy image reveals the side and partially the rear section of the production-spec variant. Bookings for the vehicle had commenced for a token amount of Rs 30,000. Interestingly, the Harrier is the first product to sport the Impact 2.0 Design language from Tata Motors.Â
Based on what can be seen, the Harrier features flared wheel arches with five-spoke alloy wheels. The vehicle gets a high shoulder line for a beefier stance and features a blacked-out B-Pillar. The rear section gets spoiler, sharp wraparound tail lamps and a raked windshield to complete its sporty appeal. The rear bumper is likely to get a black cladding and will also feature a spoiler and chrome strip for a premium appeal. The SUV is based on the OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) platform, which is derived from the Land Rover D8 architecture.Â
The five-seat SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder KRYOTEC diesel engine that is likely to generate around 140bhp of power. The engine is expected to come mated to the six-speed manual and six-speed automatic options. The vehicle is due for an early launch in 2019.
