- Based on the ICE Harrier
- Driving range of 500km
Tata Motors has unveiled the Harrier EV in India at the upcoming Mobility Show in Delhi. It competes against the Maruti e Vitara, Mahindra's electric XUV, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV.
The new Tata Harrier EV retains the silhouette of its ICE sibling, while incorporating design cues from the Curvv concept. The most prominent update is a new matte colour also seen on the other stealth editions exhibited. Other notable features include a new grille and distinctive LED lighting for the front and rear LED bar lamps.
The cabin layout is carried over from the SUV but with a new UI for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The Harrier EV continues to offer generous space and an array of features including an ADAS safety suite, connectivity, and a panoramic sunroof. Most interestingly, it gets a new summon mode which allows it to drive by itself without the intervention of a driver.
Powertrain
The Harrier EV is based on the Gen2 architecture and features a QWD, which is an AWD configuration. It boasts a two-motor setup with one motor on each axle. This EV will offer a driving range of 500km on a single charge.
