- To retain a majority of design elements from ICE-powered Harrier
- Will be one of the 10 Tata EVs on sale by the end of 2025
Tata Motors currently has one of the widest EV portfolios in the Indian market. This range is soon set to be expanded with the arrival of a new SUV. Showcased in the recent past in the pre-production form, the Harrier EV will arrive next year.
We have learned that Tata Motors will introduce the Harrier EV by March 2025. This will be followed by the Sierra EV in the second half of 2025. By the end of the next calendar year, the Harrier EV will be one of the 10 electric vehicles sold by the automaker in the country.
On the design front, the Harrier EV will be largely identical to the Harrier facelift that is currently on sale. A few notable changes include a new grille, fresh set of alloy wheels, revised front bumper, and the lack of an exhaust at the rear.
Tata Motors currently retails a slew of EVs in India, including the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, XPres-T, Nexon EV, Punch EV, and the Curvv EV. Going ahead, the brand has adopted an EV-first strategy, where it introduces electric vehicles followed by their ICE counterparts.
