- To be launched on 7 August
- Will be revealed alongside the Curvv EV
Tata Motors is all set to explore the new coupe SUV segment in India by introducing the Curvv. The coupe SUV will be offered in two iterations - petrol and EV, and they will likely be launched simultaneously on 7 August, 2024. Now, just weeks before this revelation, the petrol-powered Curvv was spotted in its final testing phase with production-spec wheels.
As seen in the picture, the Curvv ICE will get the five-spoke flower-patterned alloy wheels. Note that these are the same wheels that were showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. We speculate the model to feature 17-inch wheels for the top-spec variants with 16-inch wheels reserved for the lower variants. Also, the ones on the Curvv EV will sport different patterns and be aerodynamic in nature, similar to those of the Nexon EV.
That said, the other design elements include flush-fitting door handles, which are new for any Tata car in production as of now. Then, the Curvv will get a sloping roofline with high ground clearance to corroborate the coupe SUV styling. Other design highlights will include connected LED DRLs and LED taillights, squared-off wheel arches, split LED headlamps, wider grille similar to that of the Tata Nexon, and an extended roof spoiler, which will blend seamlessly into the raked rear windscreen.
Mechanically, we know that the Curvv ICE will be equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. On the other hand, the Curvv EV will likely get a battery pack that can power it for approximately 500km on a single charge.
