- Will be offered with both petrol and diesel power
- First coupe SUV from Tata
Finally revealed!
The Tata Curvv ICE has been officially unveiled alongside its electric sibling the Tata Curvv EV. This car is Tata’s entry into the D-segment and will take on vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor.
Design highlights
The images reveal the familiar Tata SUV face with big bumpers, low seat headlamps and the LED eyebrow that has come to define the new-age Tata range. From the side, you can see the pop-out door handles, and petal design for the alloy wheels while the C-pillar is thick and slopes to the back where Tata has included a rear spoiler as a part of the design. Finally, at the back, you get a one-piece light bar and a thick rear bumper as a part of the package. Overall, Tata has managed to stay true to the concept car it showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo.
Interior and features
The cabin has not been revealed but we know that the Curvv will use a mix of elements from the Nexon and the Harrier (image used as reference). It is expected to feature loaded things like level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat, dual digital screens and possibly a powered tailgate.
Engine options
The Tata Curvv ICE will be offered with a 1.2-litre GDi turbo petrol engine producing 123bhp/225Nm and mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT. The diesel on the other hand will be Tata’s 1.5-litre unit producing 113bhp/260Nm and offered either with a six-speed MT or the six-speed AT from the Harrier/Safari.
Prices for the Tata Curvv EV will be announced on 7 August and we expect prices for this one to be announced 10 days later as was the case with the Nexon EV and Nexon ICE.
