Tata Motors will launch its first coupe SUV in the Indian market in the coming month. This coupe SUV will be called Curvv and offered in two guises – ICE and EV. Now, after the exclusive information on the battery pack and range of the Curvv EV, it is time to disclose the engine and gearbox options of the ICE Curvv.
As per the information available to us, the Curvv ICE will be offered with three engine options – a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre GDi petrol (new), and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. As for the transmission options, all three engines will come paired with a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCA (DCT) gearbox. Moreover, like other Tata SUVs, the Curvv will continue to get three drive modes – Eco, City, and Sport.
Regarding the power output, the new 1.2-litre GDi motor is capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm of peak torque. As for the other turbo-petrol motor, which is borrowed from Nexon, it is tuned to generate 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel mill is rated to generate 113bhp and 260Nm of torque.
