Following the launch of the new 2013 Nano, Tata has announced four new body kits for its entry level model, the Nano. The body kit is a completely cosmetic addition which can be specified while ordering the LX or the CX variants. Existing customers of the 2012 Nano, apart from the base variant owners can also order for these kits. The kits for the 2012 model will also include a dual glove box as seen on the 2013 model.
The first kit called the Jet includes a raced themed body decal along with a bonnet stripe and silver finished V-spoke alloy wheels. The LX model will also get side skirts and the bumper lips also with the standard additions. The Jet body kit is priced at Rs 27,000 for the LX 2013, Rs 28,500 for the LX 2012, Rs 15,000 for the CX 2013 and Rs 16,500 for the CX 2012 model.
Next is the Remix kit that sports the same alloys found on the Jet along with a bonnet stripe and air-flow side decals with ‘Remix’ badging. The LX version will also get side skirts. Prices for the Remix kit is Rs 27,000 for the LX 2013, Rs 28,500 for the LX 2012, Rs 15,000 for the CX 2013 and Rs16, 500 for the CX 2012 variant.
The Alpha kit gets the most evident cosmetic modification of all the lot. The V-spoke alloys get a graphite finish while the roof gets a piano-black contrast-finish along with the air-ducts and unique body decals. The LX 2013 model is priced at Rs 19,000, the LX 2012 at Rs 20,500,CX 2013 at Rs 15,000 and the CX 2012 at Rs 16,500.
The final kit is called Peach and apart from the decals, the variant gets body color matching alloys. The Peach body kit can be added to the car at an additional Rs 15,000 for the LX and CX 2013 and Rs 16,500 for the LX and CX 2012 models.
The newly introduced body kits for car is likely to be a step aimed at providing a more personalised touch for its probable buyers with its decal, alloys and a kit name displayed on the front fender.
