Tata Motors has teased the soon-to-be-launched Altroz ahead of its official unveiling in India in mid-July. The teaser images show the exterior design highlights of Tata Altroz like the projector headlamps, mirrors and the alloys. Interestingly, the car in the teaser features dual-tone machined alloys and a blacked-out roof.
The company aims to redefine the urban car design with the radical styling of the Tata Altroz. We have already seen the exterior and interior design of the Altroz from the car's unveiling at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The premium hatchback will rival against Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5-9 lakhs (ex-showroom).
According to reports, Tata Altroz will be offered with two petrol engines and a diesel motor. It will get a Tata Tiago sourced 1.2-litre petrol motor and a Nexon Sourced 1.5-litre diesel engine. Higher-spec models will also get a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that will make 100bhp and 140Nm. Besides the naturally-aspirated petrol mill, which will get a five-speed manual transmission, the other two powertrains will feature a six-speed manual gearbox. Tata Motors is also said to be developing a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for the Altroz.
