-Premium hatchback from Tata
-Official launch expected later this year
Ahead of its debut in India later this year, the Tata Altroz hatchback was showcased at a dealer event in Dubai, in the presence of Ratan Tata. It’s a new premium hatchback from the Indian automaker and showcased as the 45X concept form at the 2018 Auto Expo.
For now, Tata has revealed that the Altroz will be offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 100bhp/140Nm. There has been no word out yet about the transmission, but we expect it to be a six-speed manual. We also believe that the diesel powertrain will be the 1.5-litre unit found in the Nexon. The Altroz measures in at 3988mm with a wheelbase of 2501mm.
The Altroz is Tata’s answer to the Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and the Hyundai Elite i20.
