- To be offered in three variants
- Will only be offered with a manual gearbox
Tata Motors has finally revealed the launch date of its upcoming Altroz Racer. The prices of the performance-calibrated hatchback will be released on 7 June, 2024. Ahead of this event, we already have the information regarding the variants, powertrain, colour options, and the features of the Altroz Racer.
The Hyundai i20 N Line-rival will be sold in three variants, namely, R1, R2, and R3. As for the colour options, customers can choose from three exterior paint hues – Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. Moreover, interested buyers can book the model by paying a token amount of Rs. 21,000.
Coming to the powertrain and specifications, the Altroz Racer will borrow the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Nexon. This engine is tuned to produce 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque while being mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. We expected the Altroz Racer to feature a DCT gearbox too, as its above-mentioned direct rival gets one. However, the Indian automaker has given the automatic transmission a miss.
Feature-wise, the Altroz Racer will come loaded with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument panel, wireless charger, cruise control, automatic climate control, air purifier, and ambient lighting. Also on offer will be features such as a 360-degree surround camera, ventilated front seats, blind spot monitor, and an electrically adjustable single-pane sunroof.
