Amongst all the big names present at the 2018 Auto Expo was a cute EV which goes by the name Uniti One. The Swedish start-up introduced the One EV with a promised launch in India in 2020 with a price tag of Rs 7.14 lakhs. You can book one today for a booking amount of just Rs 1,000.
Dimension wise, the Uniti One is the size of the Mahindra e2o Plus. It can seat five, says the carmaker while the showcar was in a two-seater configuration. It comes with a 22kW lithium-ion battery pack. The electric hatch claims a range of 200 kilometres with a fast charging option which can be charged up to 90 per cent in mere 20 minutes. The One also packs a Level 4 of autonomous driving credentials.
The One looks very futuristic in appearance. The clean flowing body lines are complemented by the sleek LED headlamps and a single strip of tail lights. The hunch-back proportion has a two-tone finish with a very compact rear windscreen. There are bumper designs both fore and aft and a side skirt too. Meanwhile, the EV is riding on plain spoke-less wheels. On the inside, the minimalistic cabin has a joy-stick for a steering wheel flanking a seven-inch touchscreen.
Electric cars are all the rage these days. And it won’t be a surprise if the Uniti One will be a common sight on the Indian roads in a few years’ time.
