Having made its public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the new Suzuki Vitara is set to go on sale in Europe early next year. Suzuki has made it official that it will go into production at the brand’s production facility in Hungary during the same period.
The new Vitara will be powered by either the 1.6-litre petrol engine or the 1.6-litre diesel engine. While the petrol will get a 5-speed manual gearbox, the diesel will be available with a 6-speed unit. As for the automatic gearbox, only the petrol powered model will benefit from a 6-speed automatic unit.
The new Vitara will be offered in both two and four wheel drive configurations. As for safety, Suzuki has revealed that the vehicle will come with various safety aids such as ESP, adaptive cruise control and brake assist with automatic braking besides ABS and airbags.
Suzuki will launch the new Vitara in Europe early next year. The SUV will be an alternative to cars like the Toyota RAV4 and the Renault Captur.
