A limited edition of the Suzuki Swift, dubbed as the SZ-L Edition, has been launched in the UK. Only 500 units of this variant will be produced. The car, with sporty looks and additional features, will go on sale in the UK market from March 1.
The new edition is based on the mid-grade SZ3 version of the Swift and will be available in a two-tone body colour. The paintwork includes either a Boost Blue or a Cosmic Black colour that prospective buyers can opt for. The car dons DRLs in the front with the roof, spoilers and OVRMs painted in a white shade.
The cabin boasts of a different fabric design for the seats. The silver stitching on the seats can also be seen on the steering wheel and the gear lever. The company has loaded this edition with loads of safety features that include dual front airbags, curtain airbags, side airbags, a driver knee airbag, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, ESP and cruise control.
The SZ-L is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 94bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 118Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. This is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Power is sent to the front wheels of the car while the manufacturer also offers a four-wheel-drive option on the Swift.
The Swift SZ-L will be available in three- and five-door configurations. The three-door variant of the SZ-L is priced at 10,899 GBP (Rs 11.26 lakh), while the four-door trim will be sold for 11,316 GBP (Rs 11.69 lakh). We hope that Maruti Suzuki also offers these features soon on the Swift that is sold in the Indian car market.
