When Maruti Suzuki launched the Ignis for the Indian market recently, Suzuki debuted the sportier avatar of the Ignis at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. Called as the Ignis Motocrosser Style Edition, this concept sports rally-friendly add-ons and pays tribute to the Japanese carmaker's motorsports wing. Take a look at the images of the car displayed at the show.
The Ignis Motocrosser Style was exhibited in a bright champion yellow exterior body paint. It was draped in Suzuki Motocross team's livery to highlight the car’s sporty avatar.
There is a matte black roof and racing decals in various colours, including black, white and red to spice up the exterior. These touches complement the car’s funky yet sporty avatar very well.
The fascia sports a front grille with red coloured outlining and a restyled front bumper. The latter gets a protruding look with the chunky black cladding, eventually giving the front a beefier look.
This concept rides on off-road tyres wrapped around matte brown 16-inch six-spoke alloy wheels. Then the red brake calipers further add a bit of a sporty touch.
The cabin of the Ignis Motocrosser Style boasts of a four-point harness and Recaro sport seats. It also comes equipped with a 6-point type roll cage.
Furthermore, there are sport metal pedals and the interior has received a yellow and black paint scheme. The other trendy features in the Ignis’ interior remain the same.
Suzuki has not mentioned any plans to put this concept into production. But, even if the company launches a similarly styled special edition, we think Indian buyers are going to love it.
