The Suzuki Ignis concept car has been unveiled ahead of its debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Named after a compact SUV that was produced by the Japanese automaker from 2003-2008, it is pretty much the production version of the iM-4 concept car.
The company has not released many details of the car but from the pictures we can see most of the elements from the iM-4 concept including the overall design. However, some of the newer elements include a revision in design for the headlamps, ORVMs and rear bumper.
The cabin appears to have all the standard Suzuki elements like the dashboard, steering wheel and arm rests on the doors. This concept car has a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a host of buttons above the climate control knobs. There is no word on the engine but we believe that it will get the 1.2-litre four-cylinder mill as well as the 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine.
This is expected to be a global B-segment car and will slot in between the Swift and the Baleno. We are unlikely to get this car in India anytime soon.
