- Will come to India in 2025
- Global production from the Maruti Suzuki Gujarat factory
The (Maruti) Suzuki eVX will be unveiled tomorrow in Milan. This is the Japanese automaker’s first BEV and will be launched in India in 2025. The car will be produced for the world at the automaker’s Gujarat factory and will spawn a Toyota model that will also be launched in 2025.
Revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo, the eVX will be 4.3 meters long and have an expected wheelbase of around 2.6 meters. The automaker has already confirmed that it will offer a claimed range of 550km and have a 60kWh battery pack. A second evolution was showcased at the Japanese Mobility Show in 2023, where Suzuki showed the car's interior and a ‘closer to production’ exterior design.
The eVX represents a much-needed step for the Japanese automaker to take in entering the compact SUV EV fold. It will compete with cars like the Tata Curvv EV, Honda Elevate EV, MG ZS EV, Tata Harrier EV, and the MG Windsor EV.
