-Indonesian motor show to be held in August
-Will be a new sub-brand for Indonesia only
-Silhouette points at a derivative of the Future S concept car showcased at Delhi 2018
A new city car concept will be unveiled by Suzuki at the 2018 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) this August. The Japanese automaker has said that it will be an Indonesia-specific model and be the first new sub-brand for the Asian nation.
The teaser image does not reveal too many details but it does indicate that the concept car will be a derivative of the Maruti Suzuki Future S concept that was showcased at Delhi 2018. This would seem logical considering that there seems to be a global upswing in demand for SUVs.
The Future S concept is a small SUV based on the Swift platform and is expected to be launched in production guise sometime next year. It will be a B-segment SUV and will be slotted into the same price bracket as the Swift hatchback and Dzire compact sedan.
